How to get to Sickle Cell in Focus 2013

HOW TO GET HERE:
The James Black Centre is off Cutcombe Road (postcode: SE5 9RJ), set back from the road, behind the new neuroscience building that is currently under construction (you can’t miss it!)

Public Transport:
King’s College London’s Denmark Hill campus is located in south east London, approximately 11 minutes by overground train from London Victoria station to Denmark Hill, a 7 minute walk away.  A new overground line has also started operating to/from Denmark Hill. Please look at Transport for London website for details (www.tfl.gov.uk).

Loughborough Junction station on Coldharbour Lane is also a 7 minute walk away

There are many buses that serve the area.

PLEASE NOTE: There are often weekend engineering works so please plan ahead to avoid delays to your journey.

Driving:
I would avoid driving to the conference site on the Thursday and Friday due to the difficulties in parking.  On weekdays, there are parking restrictions in place on surrounding streets (at weekends it is free to park). You could use the hospital car park but there are often long queues to get in and it is expensive.
