Wilbur Lam SCiF 2013

Lam holds a BA from Rice University, an MD from the Baylor College of Medicine, and a bioengineering PhD from the University of California, Berkeley and the University of California, San Francisco, where he also did his clinical training in pediatrics and pediatric hematology/oncology. He is currently Assistant Professor in the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and Department of Pediatrics at the Emory University School of Medicine and in the Wallace H. Coulter Department of Biomedical Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology and Emory University. His interdisciplinary laboratory, comprised of engineers, biologists, and clinicians, is focused on applying and developing nano/microsystem technologies to study, diagnose, and treat hematologic and pediatric diseases such as sickle cell disease and bleeding disorders/thrombosis.
