Upcoming Event – Adolescent Workshop: Make the Most of Life after College

On Thursday 13th April the team at Guy’s Hospital are holding an event for adolescents living with sickle cell disease and thalassaemia. The main purpose of the day is to provide a space where patients can share their journeys and experiences and hopefully come away feeling inspired.

Come along to the event to:

  • Receive professional advice on Personal Independent Payments and other benefit entitlements
  • Get support for your time at university
  • Meet other young people with sickle cell disease or thalassaemia who are at university or have graduated
  • Get support preparing for the changes that starting work or university can bring
  • Share ideas about staying well when living away from home
  • Ask any questions that are important to you

The workshop will run from 11am to 3pm in the Renal Seminar Room on the 4th Floor of the Tower Wing, Guy’s Hospital. Lunch will be provided.
