Gary Bridges is a Counselling Psychologist in the Red Cell Haematology Service at King’s College Hospital, where his role is to support people living with sickle cell disease and thalassaemia. Before joining King’s this year, Gary worked in a similar role at Homerton University Hospital in Hackney. Gary has been a psychologist for over 8 years and is also accredited as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) and an Interpersonal Psychotherapist (IPT), both psychological therapies that have a large amount of evidence for their effectiveness.
